one of our favourite makeovers...

WEMBLEY MAKEOVER

The busy clients of this Californian Bungalow in Wembley were after a stylish new look which was great for entertaining guests and equally comfortable for their young family to enjoy.

Custom made couches were upholstered in a stucco coloured fabric by Zepel. Black leather ottomans work as versatile seats or tables and an understated taupe cross-weave wool rug warms the underfoot. A mix of timbers throughout the two rooms allowed both vintage and new furniture including the circular coffee table and Victorian Ash tv unit to co-exist harmoniously.

A stylish black arc lamp sits quietly in a once empty corner and now makes a cosy reading area. Reflected in the mantlepiece mirror is an original painting by Danielle West. This artwork pulls the room together with its striking citron yellows which are echoed in the smaller decor items around the room.

Practical components have not been forgotten. A favourite timber desk is combined with a black leather button upholstered chair and an eye catching lamp to bring the study nook to life. Its pleasant garden vista remains a favourite spot when working from home.

In the dining room, white chairs help refresh the much used rustic table and new streamlined stools provide comfortable breakfast bar seating. The piéce de résistance is a David Truebridge light fitting which gives the dining room a spectacular finish with its large geometric presence. A handful of specially selected feature items have converted the once plain rooms into bright and beautiful contemporary living spaces.

On budget and on time, the owners of this house were pleased as punch.
